Om het risico van overdracht van infectieuze agentia te verminderen, moeten persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen (PBM) op de juiste manier worden gebruikt. De volgende is de volgorde voor het aantrekken van PBM:
1. Perform hand hygiene
Handen wassen of handwrijven op basis van alcohol- gebruiken.
2. Put on coverall
Stap in de benen van de overall en plaatsoverall over the boots. If the coverall is with boots, then you don't need to remove the shoes before step into the legs. Pull the coverall over your arms and shoulders. Pull the hood over, and ensure the hood fits close to the face. Pull the zipper fully up the coverall.
3. Put on mask
Chirurgisch masker of stoffiltermasker zoals N95, FFP2, KN95 of gelijkwaardig.
4. Put on eye protection (Goggles, safety glasses or face shield)

5. Put on gloves
Draag handschoenen over de manchetten en zorg ervoor dat de mouwen van de overall door de handschoen worden bedekt
OPMERKING: RAAK HET MASKER OF DE OOGBESCHERMING NIET MEER AAN ZODRA DE PBM-CONTROLE IS VOLTOOID.
